Dr Catriona Coutts undertook her doctoral research at Bangor, under the joint supervision of Dr Andrew Webb and Dr Eva Bru-Domínguez. Her thesis compared Welsh writers in English and Catalan writers in Spanish from a resistance literature perspective. She was awarded her PhD in October 2020.
